First Baby Step

Today was the first baby step towards a long tough journey. After one full week of night-outs, finally I submitted my application for Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship for Stanford GSB. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the D Results day of 1'st August. This application is quite significant for me in the following ways

  • To be honest I would have thought 10 times before applying to Stanford GSB. But with financial support for Stanford MBA Program and all fees associated with applying and attending , its not a bad idea at all for apply for this fellowship.
  • I'm an aspirant targeting admission in top 15 US B-schools . Application for this fellowship will give me an idea of my standing among fellow aspirants.
  • Application process gave me a fair idea of how the Real Application would be like. 1-Page Resume, Editing of essays etc were some of the key learning of this application. It was a challenge to fit in all my ideas and express the in just 250 words.
I feel a little relaxed and want to catch some sleep :-). The next deadline is on 11-August-2008 for IIMA PGPX and I have to gear up for that.

Start of the Roller Coaster Ride

The quest for '09 MBA begins and next 6-8 months are expected to be a Roller Coaster Ride. Not worrying about the end result I just want to enjoy the ride. The first thing to start with is the selection of the schools. I have finalized 4 of the schools that I want to target and I am working on the finalizing some of the other schools. Meanwhile some of the schools have already published their Application deadlines and to track the deadlines and other school specific information I have created a public calendar which is available on my blog as well as searchable on 'Google Calendars'. I have marked some of the Round 1 Application Deadlines for some of the schools. I have to add some of the Essay information also along with the deadline. The blog readers can use the calendar and add extra details to the calendar if they have any.
